Chiropractic Adjustments

Chiropractic Adjustments, also called Chiropractic Manipulation, safely and effectively restore motion to restricted joints and normalize the movement of the body as a whole. Adjusting involves placing the body into a safe position to encourage the desired movement and applying quick push or pull forces on the joints.

Muscle Release Techniques

Muscle Release Techniques are soft tissue protocol designed to rid injured areas of scar tissue. Our body uses scar tissue extensively in the same way that tar patch repairs are added to fix small cracks in the road. When muscles and tendons are overstressed or injured, our bodies use scar tissue as a patch repair, however, if the source of the injury is not corrected the tissue will accumulate too much scar tissue, which then becomes a problem. This is similar to when a road has been given too many patch repairs and is no longer smooth.

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization

IASTM or instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization also breaks down scar tissue and soft tissue restrictions. This technique uses a metal tool that is designed to specifically locate and effectively treat areas that have scar tissue build-up.

Dry Needling

Dry Needling is a technique where thin needles are used in the muscles near areas of trigger points. The aim of Dry Needling is to achieve a local twitch response to release muscle tension and pain. Dry needling is an effective treatment for chronic pain. Research supports that dry needling improves pain control, reduces muscle tension, normalizes nerve firing, and facilitates return to active lifestyle.

Rehabilitation Exercises and Health Education

Our rehab treatments require active patient participation and are meant to reproduce actions necessary for natural and efficient movements. Research has shown that patients with chronic pain improve faster with increased activity. We will choose exercises or stretches specifically for each patient according to their type of injury and the activity or sport they wish to return to. Scientific studies also show that exercise is more effective when combined with manual therapy (adjustments, soft tissue treatments, etc).

Kinesiology Taping

The most advanced form of taping has shown amazing results with athletes, chronic pain, and other muscular or joint issues. At NXT we use this technique for its four major functions: to support muscle, remove inflammation, correct and stabilize joint problems, and to activate the body’s natural pain relievers. These four benefits have attributed to decreased healing time, and increased success in the training and rehabilitation phases of injuries.

Fascial Manipulation - Stecco Method

Fascial Manipulation, also known as the Stecco Method, is a cutting-edge manual therapy technique developed by Italian physiotherapist Luigi Stecco. This approach targets the body's fascial system—a network of connective tissues that surrounds muscles, organs, and nerves—to restore optimal gliding and function. By addressing densifications or adhesions in the deep fascia, often located away from the site of pain, it effectively alleviates chronic musculoskeletal issues, improves mobility, and enhances overall body mechanics. Patients seeking relief from conditions like back pain, joint stiffness, sports injuries, or postural imbalances can benefit from this evidence-based method, which combines detailed assessment of movement patterns, injury history, and palpation to create personalized treatment plans. As a non-invasive therapy, it promotes natural healing without the need for medications or surgery, making it an ideal option for those looking to regain vitality and prevent future discomfort.

Having completed Levels 1, 2, and 3 of Fascial Manipulation training, I bring advanced expertise to every session. Level 1 focuses on foundational principles, including fascial anatomy and treatment of myofascial units in the limbs and trunk for basic planes of motion. Level 2 builds on this by addressing more complex sequences and compensatory patterns, while Level 3 delves into internal dysfunctions and integrated whole-body applications. This comprehensive certification ensures I can tackle a wide range of issues with precision, offering patients tailored strategies for long-term pain relief and improved quality of life.
